USFN, America’s Mortgage Banking Attorneys, was among several companies in Southern California that participated in Holiday for Heroes, a special event to salute United States Marines and their families stationed at Camp Pendleton, California.
Held on December 11, the event was attended by more than 1,100 residents of the base, including active duty Marines, spouses of deployed military, and approximately 250 children.
The objective of the event, which was first held in 2006, is to demonstrate appreciation for the United States Marines and their family members who have been deeply affected by recent global happenings. Many of those on the base are away from their homes and family over the holidays.
Among the activities that were held for the attendees were a buffet spread catered by a local Italian restaurant, visits with Santa Claus, present giveaways to children and adults, holiday arts and crafts, raffle prizes for weekend getaways, and special event tickets and passes to local attractions in San Diego.
USFN donated $1,000 in Starbucks gift cards, which were given away at the Holidays For Heroes event.
“This is one of the ways we can really express our gratitude to these families during the holiday season,” said USFN Executive Director and CEO Alberta Hultman. “They make incredible sacrifices for all of us, so it seems fitting to provide a bit of fun and holiday spirit to the Marines and especially their children.”
USFN is a national not-for-profit association of select attorneys, trustee companies, and associates providing default services to the mortgage banking industry.
