USA-Foreclosure.com reported this week that its Web site has experienced more than 50 percent growth in unique visitors since September of 2007. According to the company, USA-Foreclosure.com is the nation’s only free online source for foreclosure listings.

Last month, Obeo, a provider of online marketing tools for the residential real estate sector, issued the results of a survey conducted by the National Polling Service, in which the companies' found that nearly 36 percent of potential homebuyers cited online research as their initial action when searching for a new home. Fifty-five percent of respondents said the Internet was their first or second action when searching for a home, and 79 percent said they used the Internet extensively or moderately during the home buying process.

“The 50 percent spur in growth is truly a testament to the state of the economy,” said Shannon Blood, director of corporate communications for USA-Foreclosure.com. “We are experiencing more than 100 percent growth in properties listed, and our visitors are actively monitoring the increasing number of properties,” she stated.

In May, the site recorded that visitors spend an average of eight minutes browsing properties on USA-Foreclosure.com. “We predict more than 1,312 Washington properties will go to third party buyers within the next month and more than 4,635 in the state of California,” stated Blood earlier this week.
