ServiceLink Offers Reverse Mortgage Services
Wednesday, August 27, 2008
ServiceLink, a provider of origination and default services and the national mortgage services platform of Fidelity National Financial, announced enhancements to its title and settlement solution for reverse mortgage transactions today.
Understanding that reverse mortgages differ from standard refinance transactions, ServiceLink said its solution offers a personal approach to help non-traditional borrowers close loans. The company added that it has a dedicated reverse mortgage staff that is rigorously trained in reverse mortgage transactions. Borrowers often require additional time and attention to complete these types of refinances. ServiceLink’s reverse mortgage closing agents can field questions and resolve issues that may affect the closing and expedite title commitment, the company said.
The company added that it also offers several closing options designed for reverse mortgages. iClose is ServiceLink’s Web-based electronic closing platform, and according to ServiceLink, it provides secure, convenient, easy-to-use access and allows closings to take place online, virtually anywhere and at any time. ServiceLink added that based on previous use, borrowers appreciate the personal assistance received from a reverse mortgage signing agent through the solution's online virtual meeting room.
In addition, ServiceLink has given iClose viewing capabilities that allow approved third parties, such as family members, attorneys, or loan officers, to join the closing from remote locations. The entire reverse mortgage signing session, including all of the borrower’s responses, are documented and recorded. Also, for in-office or in-home closings, borrowers can pre-select appraisal appointments and signing dates at the point-of-sale.
